Sustainable bath and spa

Bloomin’ Bliss was founded to solve problems: (1) the lack of natural self-care bath & spa products for sale, and (2) the lack of eco-friendly bath & spa products on the market.

When our founder found herself on medical leave, she was advised to take baths to help her insomnia. In pursuit of better sleep, she poured epsom salts and later bath bombs into her baths.

Soon enough, however, she became dissatisfied with the massive plastic waste the bath bombs and other spa products incurred. As she did more research, she learned that most bath bombs and spa products contain synthetic ingredients that disrupt hormones and ecosystems, too.

Even natural bath bombs from other companies use ingredients that are not sustainable in the long term when we consider climate change.

With all this in mind, Bloomin’ Bliss products were formulated- not just for people, but for the planet.

Our commitment to sustainability includes the following promises:

  • To keep oceans clean for other life, our packaging is and will remain 95% plastic free
  • To partner with Greenspark so each purchase removes plastic bottles from the oceans.
  • Our packaging is reusable or recyclable
  • Our products are 100% FREE FROM:

-parabens

-synthetic fragrances

-glitter

-sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)

-or titanium dioxide

(These are common ingredients in bath bombs and shower steamers that hurt ecosystems and especially, aquatic life)

Our long-term goal is to…

  • offer refills at our market locations for customers wanting to re-use their glass packaging
  • offer reusable shipping boxes with shipping partners
  • partner with other eco-friendly brands to make a larger impact.

Thank you for supporting our sustainability commitments by joining our community!

Bath & Spa Luxury Re-Defined

When you hear or read the word “luxury,” what comes to mind?

Do you see glitter and gold?

Perhaps you see a woman draped in silk and pearls?

Or maybe you envision her in an expensive car?

For a moment, we invite you to consider a different version of luxury.

The Bloomin’ Bliss definition of a luxurious product is simple: a luxurious product is one made of such excellent quality ingredients that you wouldn’t hesitate to give it to your grandma, or bathe your own child in it, because you’re sure that there’s nothing fake or questionable about it.

Luxury is about the peace of mind that comes from quality ingredients.

For us at Bloomin’ Bliss, our bath and shower products are luxurious because they are made from 95% organic ingredients, free from toxic pesticide residue.

Our products also never use synthetic colours or fragrances to boost visual or olfactory appeal to save money.

We let Mother Nature expertly scent and colour all our products, even if it costs us more.

We believe our customers deserve nothing less than the best.

We believe that luxurious products are good for us and the environment.

As modern women, we are all too aware of the damaging environmental effects of the beauty industry due to its heavy reliance on plastics, synthetic ingredients, and general waste.

And we’re determined to lead the industry in a different direction.

Gone are the days of “luxurious” synthetic bath bombs encased in plastic and packaged in an even bigger plastic bag.

Real luxury now has a different look: a naked bath bomb. A re-usable, re-fillable glass jar. Essential oils—not phthalates—going down the bathtub drain after providing an aromatherapy escape.

Does our vision of luxury resonate with you?

Join the Bloomin’ Bliss community as we heal ourselves—mind, body, and spirit—while nurturing our planet.

Together, we ARE making a difference.

Be well,

Patricia Robson, Founder

How to Choose and Use Natural Deodorant for Kids

The adolescent years bring about significant physical and emotional changes. As kids grow, they face new challenges, one of the most common being increased sweating and body odor.

How does adolescence impact body odor?

Puberty triggers hormonal shifts that cause the sweat glands to become more active, often leading to stronger body odor. This is a completely natural part of growing up. Whether you’re a child experiencing these changes or a parent offering support, it’s important to understand that this phase is a normal part of development.

Can natural deodorant help during adolescence?

Although sweating and body odor are a natural part of adolescence, natural deodorants can provide an effective way to manage them. Unlike conventional antiperspirants that may contain harsh chemicals, natural deodorants neutralize odor while allowing the body to sweat naturally. They offer a safe and gentle option for kids to feel fresh without compromising their well-being.

Frequently Asked Questions from Parents or Guardians

As kids begin using deodorant, parents and guardians often have concerns about safety, effectiveness, and the best products to choose. Here are some common questions and helpful answers:

Is it safe for kids to use deodorant?
Yes, natural deodorants are generally safe for kids. They are free from harsh chemicals, making them a gentle option for managing body odor during adolescence.
At what age should my child start using deodorant?
Children typically start needing deodorant around the onset of puberty, which can vary but often occurs between ages 8 and 14. It’s important to monitor for signs like increased body odor before introducing a product.
What’s the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant?
Deodorants neutralize body odor, while antiperspirants block sweat. For children, natural deodorants are a preferable option as they allow the body to sweat naturally while controlling odor.
Can natural deodorants really control body odor?
Yes, natural deodorants are formulated with ingredients that neutralize odor without blocking sweat glands, providing effective odor control during the changes of adolescence.
How do I choose the right deodorant for my child?
Look for products that are free from aluminum, parabens, and synthetic fragrances. Natural deodorants with gentle, plant-based ingredients are typically the best choice for kids.
